Men’s clothes have always been present in women’s fashion – some old fashioned notion that male attire represents power somehow. The Sartorialist featured a picture of a girl who made a skirt out of her father’s button-down shirt only with tucking and tying. Not only was the outfit so creative and unique but the picture was mesmerizing and inspired me to explore the men’s shirts phenomenon.
Worn upside-down, sleeves pulled inside-out and then tucked into each other in back, top front tied and buttoned in from the middle to fit.
Next time I’ll have some pictures of the dress I made, a recently modified Zara dress and what I’ve done so far with the twist-front bandeau.
